Asus Debut 8x DVD Dual Drive

ASUS have announced their new DRW-0804A, a DVD±R/RW drive capable of reading data from and writing data on DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW formats. The drive burns both flavours of recordable discs at 8x and rewritable discs at 4x. CDs can also be burnt at 16x.

Wide Compatibility
The ASUS DRW-0804A is a DVD±R/RW drive capable of reading data from and writing data on DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW formats. The dual compatibility feature of the DRW-0804A allows you to create DVDs that can be played or read by most DVD-ROM drives and DVD players. This function provides you with flexibility and efficiency in terms of multimedia data storage and sharing

Buffer Under Run Protection
The ASUS DRW-0804A is capable of preventing buffer under run problems caused by an empty data buffer for both DVD and CD media, eliminating the creation of CD and DVD coasters.
